Nami Island + Petite France






Getting to Nami Island and Petite France can be easily accessed by public transportation. It is best to have day tour from Seoul. If you have more time, you can visit Morning Calm Arboretum after Nami and Petite France.

Step by step direction to Nami Island and Petite France:

1.  [MRT] From Seoul Station to Cheongnyangni Station (1 hour 30 minutes)

2.  [ITX Train] Cheongnyangni Station to Gapyeong Station (50 minutes)
The ITX ticket can be booked online for more comfort seat at  http://www.letskorail.com or buy directly at Cheongnyangni station ticket booth. The price is KRW 4,800 per person.

3.  [Gapyeong Bus Tour] Gapyeong Station Bus Stop to Namisum (10 minutes)
The bus ticket can be purchased directly with the driver, cost KRW 6,000 for whole day.

4.  [Ferry/ Zipwire] to Nami Island (15 minutes)

The ferry ticket to Nami Island can be purchased at the ticket booth at Namisum costs KRW 8,000 for round trip and took around 15mins to arrive nami island.

If you don't like to take ferry, there has other alternative to cross to Nami Island such as zipwire, costs KRW 38,000.

5.   [Gapyeong Bus Tour] Namisum to Petite France (25 minutes)

6.    [Gapyeong Bus Tour] Petite France to Cheongpyeong Station (25 minutes)
Please always be reminded the last bus leaving Petite France is 18:40. If you missed the last bus, you can also took taxi to Cheongpyeong Station cost around KRW 15,000.

7.    [ITX train] Cheongpyeong Station to Cheongnyangni Station (40 minutes)

Nami Island
Nami Island is well known for the famous filming spot for Winter Sonata. It is also famous for the beautiful tree lined road. The best time to visit here is at Autumn where you can see the beautiful orange autumn tree lines along the Nami Island.



It was mid April and we were so happy that there were still plenty of sakura in Nami Island.

There is also a Mushola in the Nami Island, which make it convenience for Muslim to travel there.

We spent around 2 hours in this island, and we only completed 1/2 of the whole island.


Petite France
Petite France is a small French Village with various European design architecture. It is also a well known filming location for many K drama such as “You who came from another star”, “Secret Garden” and others. The entrance fee was KRW 8,000. 2 hours are enough to enjoy the whole Petite France.


We just spent our time walking around and taking pictures. Undeniable, it is really a nice place for taking pictures.




If you missed the last bus leaving Petite France, alternatively you can took taxi to Cheongpyeong station cost around KRW 15,000. 

In overall, we spend about half day in both Nami Island and Petite France. It was a comfortably and relaxing trip. After the trip, we still have time to have dinner at Seoul and walk around Dongdaemun.
