One Day Trip to Busan
After Jeju trip, we went to Busan by flight with Jeju Air cost around
SGD 50 for one way ticket. It took around 50 minutes to arrive Busan. Busan is
a second largest metropolitan area in Korea. Travel around Busan can be easily
accessed by subway. Budget traveler no need to worry as cheap and tasty food
are every where. We stayed at a guest house nearby Haeundae Beach with around 5
minutes of walking distances. There are a lot of
nice cafes, pubs, luxurious hotels and buildings along this area.
Haeundae Beach
Haeundae Beach is the largest beach in Korea. It is a popular spot in
Busan, so don’t forget to visit this place.

Haeundae
Market
Around 5 minutes walk from Haeundae beach, there is Haeundae Market
located across the street from Haeundae Beach. You can see a lot of foods and
restaurants along the market especially seafood and snacks including gimbap and
tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes). The market is not a wet market, it is clean and
easily to walk around. It is a great place to experience Korean cuisine.
Gamcheon Culture Village
People
say Gamcheon Culture Village is Santorini in Asia. There are plenty of
colourful house and this place has it’s own artistic charm. Please prepare a
comfy shoe as you may walk for around 2 hours to look around the village. There
are some café, restaurant, and mini art shop along the alley.

Seomyeon
Seomyeon is a popular shopping place in Busan. I took subway and alight
at Seomyeon station. This place is directly connected to Seomyeon Lotte
Department and Daehyun Underground Mall. Please be prepared for your wallet as
you may lose control to see the cheap price along the underground shopping
street.

Gwangalli Beach
The last check in point should be Gwangalli Beach. But unfortunately, we
didn’t manage to visit this place due to heavy rain L.
Direction:
Gwangan Station(subway line no. 2, exit 3 or 5) and walk 5 minutes.
After dinner, we were heading back to our hotel and stay 1 night at
Busan.
The next day, we took KTX from Busan Station to Seoul (2.5 hours).
Tips: Do not forget to reserve the seat in advance.
I may recommend to took flight to Seoul as the price is the same.
In summary, Busan is unexpectedly a very nice city. It is beyond my
expectation. The metropolitan city, the nice and clean beach, the cheap and tasty
food, and the shopping paradise; one day definitely not enough to visit Busan.
