Taiwan Trip: Cingjing Farm清境農場


In Autumn 2015, we visited Cingjing from Taipei and stay 1 night at Cingjing. Then continue to Sun Moon Lake by bus from Cingjing. Blog for Sun Moon Lake will be posting soon.

Getting to Cingjing:
By Bus: Take OK Bus for around 4 hours to Cingjing from 3rd East Gate Taipei Main Station. The bus ticket can be purchased online at OK Bus website.
The bus will alight at your hotel at Cingjing. But at that time, due our hotel was quite far from Cingjing (around 20 minutes drive), so we alight at Cingjing Tourist Centre and put our luggage there.

Getting around Cingjing:
By car: This is the best option to travel around Cingjing, to save the bus waiting time.
By public transportation: I choose this option, although the bus is limited but there are plenty of taxis around. We divided the taxi cost to 4 people, so it is quite cheap.

Small Swiss Garden
Nothing much in this small garden. I think 30 minutes are enough for picture taking. Entrance fee was NTD 120

Carton King
Carton King is located just beside Small Swiss Garden. It is a famous carton store. Everything in this store is made from carton.
There is also a carton themed restaurant in second floor.

Green Green Grassland 清境青青草原區
Yeah I love the place here, nice scenery with nice air.


There are plenty of cute sheep here, and also their poo are everywhere.

Old England
After finished strolling aroung the green green grassland, we took taxi to Old England for tea time. But unfortunately, it was 5pm when we arrived there, and the tea time was over. So we only took picture at Old England.

Cingjing Festival
Coincidently, there was a fire festival during our visit at Cingjing. It was kind like traditional dance with fire. I forgot the name of the festival. There was food bazaar and some souvenirs also.

Qingjing Home of Fireflies 螢火蟲的故鄉
After we watched the festival, the hotel car fetched us to took our luggage at Tourist Centre and then heading to the Minshu. Although this minshu is abit far from Cingjing, but this is not a problem, as the owner fetched us from Cingjing to the minshu.
 
The owner is a Taiwanese, very friendly but do not speak English
Below is the bed room. The space is very big. There is also a living room and 2 bathrooms.

The next day, we travelled to Sun Moon Lake from Cingjing. The owner drove us from our minshu to the meet up point. The blog for Sun Moon Lake will be posting soon.

Day Trip to Beautiful Udo – Jeju Island

‘Udo’ literally means ‘Cow Island’ in Chinese. Udo Island is exactly what I expect Jeju would be. This island makes the best part of the whole journey. It is also the highlight of the Jeju trip. Getting to Udo: 1.          We took taxi from our hotel at Jeju-si area to Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal. Then take Bus No 701 or 710 to Seongsan Port bus station. 2.          Upon arrived Seongsan Harbour terminal, we are required to fill in some personal details such as full name, age, and nationality, and then proceed to the counter to make payment.          3.          Udo Island is 15 minutes ferry ride from the Seongsan Harbour.         The round trip of ferry ticket cost KRW 5,500/ pax. The ferry is available in every 30 minutes. Please be reminded that the last ferry leaving Udo is at 5.30pm. If you are driving with car, you can park your car near the Seongsan harbor. Taiwan Trip: ShiFen & JiuFen

This is my Day 1 itinerary in Taiwan on November 2015.  Shifen and Jiufen make a nice day trip from Taipei around 1-2 hours by public transportation. Getting to Shifen: By MRT : From MRT Muzha ( 木柵) Station (Brown Line 1), take bus 1076 towards Pingxi ( 平溪 ). By Train : From Taipei Main Station, take train towards Ruifang Station. Transfer to the Pingxi Line (平溪線) Shifen Waterfall 十分大瀑布 Shifen waterfall is in short walking distance from Shifen Old Street. It is a famous spot for tourist in Pingxi area.  There is nothing much to do in the Shifen Waterfall except sight seeing and buy some drinks and snacks. Oh! There is some stalls selling local food, so we had our lunch before heading to the waterfall.   Arriving the Shifen Waterfall. Please prepare an umbrella or you will get wet.
