Summary of Taiwan 8 days Itinerary and Cost

Finally it is time for me to share my travel at Taiwan on November 2015. My 8 days itinerary at Taiwan covered Taipei, Taichung, Cingjing, Sun Moon Lake and Taroko Gorge. Travel around Taiwan can be easily accessed by subway and train. I think mid November is a good time to Travel to Taiwan, as the weather is cooler and lesser rain.

Summary of 8 Days Itinerary:
Day 1: Check in hotel in Ximending and rest
Below is effectively start from Day 1.
Day 2: Shifen – Jiufen – Shilin Night Market
Day 3: Taipei >> Maokong – Elephant Mountain – Dinner at Jay Chow Restaurant- Taipei 101 - Ximending
Day 4: Cingjing Farm
Day 5: Sun Moon Lake
Day 6: Taichung >>Hua hai – Fengjia Night Market
Day 7: Taichung >> Alpaca Farm + Taipei >> Chiang Kai Seng + Raohe Night Market
Day 8: Taroko Gorge
Day 9: Taipei >> Tamsui + Modern Toilet Restaurant

Overall expenses estimation for 8 days:
Air ticket from Jakarta (include 20kg luggage with AirAsia)
SGD 350
Accommodation (Average SGD 40 per night per person)
SGD 320 for 8 nights
Visa for Indonesian
SGD 60
Food + Snacks
SGD 270
Transportation (MRT + Bus + Taxi)
SGD 100
Tour + Train
SGD 400
Shopping + Souvenirs
SGD 500
Total
SGD 2,000

Without shopping, SGD 1,500 would be enough for 8 days travel comfortably in Taiwan.

Day Trip to Beautiful Udo – Jeju Island

‘Udo’ literally means ‘Cow Island’ in Chinese. Udo Island is exactly what I expect Jeju would be. This island makes the best part of the whole journey. It is also the highlight of the Jeju trip. Getting to Udo: 1.          We took taxi from our hotel at Jeju-si area to Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal. Then take Bus No 701 or 710 to Seongsan Port bus station. 2.          Upon arrived Seongsan Harbour terminal, we are required to fill in some personal details such as full name, age, and nationality, and then proceed to the counter to make payment.          3.          Udo Island is 15 minutes ferry ride from the Seongsan Harbour.         The round trip of ferry ticket cost KRW 5,500/ pax. The ferry is available in every 30 minutes. Please be reminded that the last ferry leaving Udo is at 5.30pm. If you are driving with car, you can park your car near the Seongsan harbor. Taiwan Trip: ShiFen & JiuFen

This is my Day 1 itinerary in Taiwan on November 2015.  Shifen and Jiufen make a nice day trip from Taipei around 1-2 hours by public transportation. Getting to Shifen: By MRT : From MRT Muzha ( 木柵) Station (Brown Line 1), take bus 1076 towards Pingxi ( 平溪 ). By Train : From Taipei Main Station, take train towards Ruifang Station. Transfer to the Pingxi Line (平溪線) Shifen Waterfall 十分大瀑布 Shifen waterfall is in short walking distance from Shifen Old Street. It is a famous spot for tourist in Pingxi area.  There is nothing much to do in the Shifen Waterfall except sight seeing and buy some drinks and snacks. Oh!
